Jul 8 Grand Finale
The fourth and final show weekend is upon us. This does not mark the end of the term, no, not yet. Still much to look forward to. But before we do that, let’s have a gander at this week:
- Monday Meeting: Monday, July 8, 6PM, MC 4063. Most likely will consist of planning for show 4, and perhaps talk of other upcoming events. Bureaucracy at its finest.
- Project Night: Wednesday, July 10, 6PM, SLC 2134/2135. You should know what this is all about by now. If not, what are you waiting for? Get on it!
- Show 4: Friday, July 12, 4:30PM to 10:20PM, M3 1006, and Saturday, July 13, 2:30PM to 9PM, EIT 1015. Show 4 will see the conclusion of many of the continuing series you have enjoyed throughout the term. If you haven’t been keeping up with shows this term, consider coming Saturday night for our feature presentation. We also usually hang out and play games after the shows, so whatever your reasons, you can expect to have some fun. We will be running our concession stand, selling snacks and drinks throughout the show, as well as pizza for dinner. You can also expect some sort of silly activity on the dinner break either Friday or Saturday, subject to the whims of our activities coordinator. The show schedule can be found here.
Here are some more upcoming events to look forward to:
- Cosplay Café: Wednesday, July 17, 12PM to 5:30PM, SLC Multipurpose Room. If you’ve never been to one of our cosplay cafés, here’s the rundown. A group of CTRL-A members will be dressing up as various anime characters, and will be operating a café right in the middle of the SLC, with all welcome! Come take a seat and be served tea and various Japanese snacks. If you’ve ever wanted to taste some foreign treats, here’s your chance! If you feel like participating as a server, bring it up at one of our meetings before the event.
- “Ouran High School Host Club” Marathon: Friday, July 19, 4:30PM to 10:30PM and Saturday, July 20, 2:30PM to 9:30PM, M3 1006. Perhaps you have watched 26 episodes of something in the span of two days. Most people wouldn’t, but anime tends to attract the sort of people that might. It’s almost like a rite of passage. The anime marathon. Watch all 26 episodes of Ouran High School Host Club, July 19-20. Don’t let the bishounen style fool you; the comedy in this series is top notch.
That’s all for now. A lot to look forward to, to be sure. And that’s not all we have, so keep your eyes closely trained on this space for more information.
