• Group theatre outing – When Marnie Was There
  • Thursday, July 2
  • 7:00 PM at Princess Cinemas, Kitchener
  • Informal meetup to watch Studio Ghibli’s latest – possibly last – film, “When Marnie Was There.” We’ll be meeting in the lobby before the show if you want to sit with other CTRL-A people. Note that Thursday is the last day Princess Cinemas will be screening the movie, and the only day where it will be in Japanese with English subtitles.
• Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax tournament
  • Friday, July 3
  • 5:30 PM in MC 2034
  • In partnership with the UW Fighting Game Club, we’ll be running a Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax (DFC) tournament. The tournament format is meant to be noob-friendly, so this could be a good way to get in to the world of fighting games. Or just come to hang out and get an answer to the age-old question: who would win in a fight – Shizuo or Asuna?

There’s no SOS this week because of Canada Day. Also, next week we have Show 4 and our club Sushi Lunch at Kinkaku Izakaya. Make sure to RSVP – it’s a small restaurant, so there might not be space if you’re not in the reservation.
