Feb 3 2 Awesome 2 Show
If you couldn’t tell by the inordinate number of twos in the title of this post, show 2 is this weekend! (Hold for applause.) In addition, we have our regular weekday events, including the return of games nights co-hosted by UW Gamers! Fun times are imminent.
- Monday Meeting: Monday, February 3, 6PM, MC 4058. The usual Monday meeting, with planning for show 2 among the items on the schedule.
- Project Night: Wednesday, February 5, 6PM, SLC 2134/5. For those who have been missing out, this is a great event to attend to make friends with other members of the club, as the primary focus of the event is general socialization. Fans of anime and games, meet people with similar interests.
- Show 2: Friday, February 7, 4:30PM to 10PM, AL 116 and Saturday, February 8, 2:30PM to 9PM, EIT 1015. Please note the different rooms for each day, and try not to go to AL on Saturday. You won’t find us there. Anyway, it is finally time to watch some more anime! We will be continuing Beyond the Boundary, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya, Kill la Kill, Kuroko’s Basketball and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni from where we left off last show. We will also be showing the first three episodes of AnoHana and Nobunagun, and will end off with the 5th Kara no Kyoukai movie. As usual, we will be running our concession stand throughout the show for your snack and drink needs, with pizza available for purchase on the dinner break. What better way to get your anime fix than a weekend of anime with CTRL-A? The show schedule is available here.
- Games Night: Friday, February 7, 5:30PM to 12AM, AL 209. Continuing from last term, we will be continuing to have Games Night, hosted by UW Gamers, on every show Friday. If you prefer games to anime, feel free to head upstairs to AL 209 and see what the gamers are up to. It’s also a great retreat if there’s a particular show you don’t want to watch, or something to do during the dinner break.
We’re confident that the anime and/or game fan inside of you will be satisfied with this week’s event offerings. Have an idea for an event we don’t currently offer? Come to one of our weekly meetings and pitch your idea. That’s basically how all of our events got started, so you never know what could happen.
