Back for Another Round

Welcome, everyone. This is Dylan, your webmaster for the next term, here to fill you in on all the important details for this coming week, and a few other things. Check it out:

  • Monday Meeting: Monday, January 13, 6PM, MC 4058. Our second meeting of the term. If you’ve been to the first, know that this one is not as long or involved. It will primarily be dedicated to club’s days and show 1 planning. If you aren’t a part of the exec, but want to help out, a great way to do so is to help set up and take down for shows. Come to the meeting and volunteer your services, and you’ll receive direction on when and where to be to help.
  • Project Night: Wednesday, January 15, 6PM, SLC 2134/5. Project night commences. For those of you who are new to CTRL-A, all you do is show up, socialize and play some games. It’s not a formal event by any means, just a chance to hang out and meet people from the club.
  • Clubs, Services and Societies Days: Thursday, January 16 and Friday, January 17, 10AM to 3PM, SLC Great Hall. As usual, CTRL-A will have a table there, advertising the club to attempt to attract new members. If you’re interested in helping man the table, come to the Monday meeting and volunteer your services!
  • Show 1: Friday, January 17, 4:30PM to 10PM, AL 113 and Saturday, January 18, 2:30PM to 9PM, AL 116. Our first show kicks off this weekend. If you’re here to watch anime (and really, why wouldn’t you be?), this is where you want to be. The show schedule will be available here as soon as it is decided upon. As usual, we will have our concession stand where you can buy snacks and drinks, and pizza during the dinner break. There’s no better way to spend a day with fellow fans of anime. Don’t miss it!

Those are all the events for this coming week.

Before I move on, I also want to let you know that the club is organizing a group for Anime North. For the uninformed, if you go to AN in a large enough group, you can save a bit of money on each badge, so it’s in your best interest to get your badge through this method. Check out this forum thread for details.
