Mada Mada

Show 3 has now passed us by. You may find yourself feeling somewhat melancholic. This is natural. I would implore you to follow our other events as you wait for show 4 to arrive. Then you can get your anime fix once more. Here are those events for this week:

  • Monday Meeting: Monday, November 4, 6PM, MC 4058. Much planning. So bureaucracy. Wow.
  • Project Night: Wednesday, November 6, 6PM, SLC 2134. Continued efforts towards the CTRL-A cosplay café, if you are interested in that, will be taking place. Also general socialization, great for meeting and hanging out with people.
  • Games Night: Friday, November 8, 5:30PM, EV2 2002. Our weekly gaming social, dedicated to our favourite non-anime pastime. Most of us find that it is difficult to extricate the enjoyment of anime and video games, so instead we choose to relish in it! If you happen to be a gaming-minded anime fan, then join us for much gaming. It can be tabletop or electronic in nature. Feel free to bring your own games to offer for people to play.

In other news, you can look forward to show 4 occurring on November 22 and 23, where we will conclude our continuing series for the term.

I would also like to take this opportunity to draw attention to our end-of-term extravaganza. Firstly, on Friday, November 29 at 4:30PM, join us in AL 116 for karaoke! Belt out your favourite anime and anime-related songs. You need not fear judgment among fellow CTRL-A members. So go ahead. Sing. And make your song requests here. (Read the first post for instructions.)

Secondly, on Saturday, November 30 at a location yet to be determined (somewhere off-campus but accessible by bus), we will be holding hot pot! This wonderful once-per-term event will feature the enjoyment of delicious food boiled before your eyes in the hottest of pots, combined with gaming late into the night. This is one event you won’t want to miss. See the planning thread here.

Finally, we have received an open invitation from Queen of Hearts Costumes for all CTRL-A cosplayers to be in the the KW Santa Claus Parade on November 16. If you are interested in this opportunity, you can read more and sign up here. You can also check out their Facebook page for the event here.

That’s all for this week. Until next time.
