Break Through to the Next Stage

It is with a heavy heart that I bring you this report on this, the final full week of CTRL-A events.

Show 4 is behind us now, but we shall not mourn its passing. Instead, we shall celebrate in our traditional fashion. I’ve been mentioning it over the past few weeks, so it should come as no surprise, but read on for the events you can enjoy this week and coming weekend:

  • Monday Meeting: Monday, November 25, 6PM, MC 4058. The penultimate Monday meeting, in which the end-of-term event details are finalized, followed by dinner.
  • Project Night: Wednesday, November 27, 6PM, SLC 2134. This is the final officially-scheduled project night of the term. In the past, project nights have been known to continue to happen through the exam period, but it really depends on who’s there.  This is the last day we have a room booked for it until next term though.
  • Karaoke Night: Friday, November 29, 4:30PM, AL 116. At last, it begins. Be sure to make your song requests here, and then come on out and belt out your favourite songs. Good times to be had by all.
  • Hot Pot: Saturday, November 30, 4:30PM, Karl’s place. The address should have been made available to all those who have prepaid. If you have not yet received it, please email us and that will be sorted out. If you have not yet paid, you can do so at the next meeting. Food will be purchased in advance and prepared for you, so all you have to do is have a great time. Feel free to bring any games you would like to play. Bringing your own eating implements might be a good idea as well, as I hear Karl may not be able to meet demand. Not sure when Karl will kick us out, but this event historically goes very late.
Secret Santa will also be resolved at this date, so be sure to bring your present to this event if you haven’t given it yet.

And there’s your week. I would also like to draw your attention to our End of Term Survey. If you can spare the time, please fill it out so we can use it to improve next term!

That’s it. Party on!
