Sep 23 We Hope You Enjoy Your Stay
Thanks to everyone who made it out to our first show of the term. You are what makes CTRL-A what it is, and we hope to see you back to future shows and other events.
Speaking of which, I’m here to tell you all about the events for this week. They are:
- Monday Meeting: Monday, September 23, 6PM, MC 4058. Another week, another weekly meeting. Show 1 recap, and other important business.
- Project Night: Wednesday, September 25, 6PM, SLC 1115. Different room for this week only. If you’ve been at some of our events so far, hopefully you’ve made some friends, and you might be looking for opportunities to spend more time with these friends. Or maybe you don’t know anyone yet, and want to change that. Project nights seek to aid you in these endeavours and more. Leave your anxiety at home, and come play some games and discuss anime with other like-minded individuals.
- Games Night: Friday, September 27, 5:30PM, EV2 2002. You may have been too busy watching anime last Friday to catch our inaugural games night, but that’s okay. Games nights will occur every Friday, show or not. And that includes this upcoming Friday! UW Gamers won’t be there; the cooperative effort extends only to show weekends, but there is still fun to be had. Bring your games, and play. Any sort of game, from card to board to handheld video games, are welcome.
In addition to these events, the 19th annual East Asian Festival will be taking place this Saturday, September 28 from 11AM to 2PM at Renison University College. Some members of CTRL-A will be there running a mini anime show. We don’t know what room we’ll be in yet, but I’ll update this when I find out.
Also of note, show 2 will be occurring on October 4 and 5, only two short weeks away. Look forward to it!
