Aug 28  First Meeting

The title is twofold, for CTRL-A’s first meeting of the Fall term is a good opportunity to meet new people. As we open the curtains on a new term of CTRL-A, we welcome all those interested in anime to come out and see what we’re all about. CTRL-A is a great place to meet fellow fans of anime.

Our first event will be the first of our regular meetings for the term. You can find us on September 9 at 6PM in MC 2034. The meeting will open with new exec elections, followed by much discussion and voting on what shows to watch this term. The first meeting tends to set the pace for all of our anime shows for the term, so if you want your say in what to watch, you should come to this meeting.

If you are interested in running for an executive position, great! We are always looking for volunteers to help keep us running. No experience is required for any of the positions, and there are plenty of older members around to help out if you have any questions. However, please observe the following stipulation:

If you wish to run for an officer position, then you must have been a member of the club for at least one term in the last year. If you wish to run for an executive position, then you must have held an officer position for at least one term in the last year. These are the only requirements for running, and even these requirements are relaxed if there are no eligible volunteers. So get out there and give it a try. Even if you don’t qualify for exec just yet, we always need volunteers to help set up and take down at shows, so there are plenty of ways to get involved and enjoy your time with CTRL-A.
