Grand Finale? Nope

If you’ve been with us for a while, you should know that show 4 hardly marks the end of the term for us. We still have many exciting events for you to enjoy. This week is special for two reasons. Read on to find out how:

  • Monday Meeting: Monday, July 15, 6PM, MC 4063. Not this. But this is still good, and you should consider checking it out. All the official club business you can handle.
  • Cosplay Café: Wednesday, July 17, 12PM to 5:30PM, SLC Multipurpose Room. Enjoy various foreign (mostly Japanese) treats, served to you by cosplayers in this little slice of Japanese culture. It’s fun, and worth stopping by if your in the area. You can also consider volunteering at the meeting mentioned above.
  • Project Night: Wednesday, July 17, 6PM, SLC 2134/2135. Immediately following the cosplay café is our usual project night.
  • “Ouran High School Host Club” Marathon:  Friday, July 19, 4:30PM to 10:30PM and Saturday, July 20, 2:30PM to 9:30PM, M3-1006. It’s about time for another anime marathon. 26 episodes in two days. And in BluRay quality, no less.  Trust me when I say that this is a series worth watching. This is an event not to be missed!

That concludes the upcoming week. Look forward to the following events in the weeks to come:

  • ConBravo: July 26-28, Hamilton Convention Centre. If you like Anime North but not the crowds, ConBravo is the place to go. It’s target extends beyond anime to stuff like comics and video games, but you’ll definitely find something worth your while there. The Pokemon Gym Leader Squad (PGLS) will be at this event taking challengers as well, so come say hi.
  • Karaoke Night: Friday, August 2, 4:30PM, AL 105. A termly tradition, karaoke night is soon upon us. A forum thread for song requests should be available shortly, so stay tuned.

Okay, that’s enough excitement for one news post. I’m out.
