Mar 11 More Show = More Awesome
It’s time for show 4! The final show of the term sees the conclusion of many of our continuing series, so don’t miss it!
Check out the event breakdown:
- Monday Meeting: Monday, March 11, 6PM, RCH 306. Planning for show 4 mostly. There may be discussion of Anime North as well. It’s meeting time!
- Project Night: Wednesday, March 13, 6PM, SLC 3103. Speaking of Anime North, if you have a costume you want ready in time for the event, then come work on it at project night! You can also play games and just hang out. Don’t miss this great, social event.
- Show 4: Friday, March 15, 4:30PM to 10PM and Saturday, March 16, 2:30PM to 9PM, AL 116. Back in the same room both days this time. And our favourite room too! Come out to AL and watch some anime. You get to hang out and chat with other folks who also like anime! We also operate a concession stand selling snacks and drinks throughout the show, and pizza on the dinner break. It’s a great way to spend your weekend. The schedule is available here. Don’t miss it, guys. Seriously.
- Weiss Schwarz Tournament: Saturday, March 16, 11AM, AL 208. Our Weiss Schwarz termly tourney gets underway this Saturday. Working knowledge of the rules is expected but it’s not necessary to even have your own deck. A CTRL-A membership is also required. Check out the forum thread for all the details and to sign up.
- Sushi Lunch: Sunday, March 17, 1PM, O’Yummy Sushi. Get your nom on. Please RSVP here if you want to come.
Lots of events to fill your otherwise mundane week with awesomeness. And if that wasn’t enough, look ahead to see other events that, while not our own, are sure to be lots of fun.
- Madoka Movie Showings: Part 1 will be this Thursday, March 14 and Part 2 the following Wednesday, March 20. Check out Cineplex.com for the locations and showtimes. Part 1, Part 2. You can also buy your tickets online.
- Waterloo Video Game Swap: Sunday, April 7. A place where gamers from old school games right up to PS3 and Xbox 360 can buy, sell and trade video games. There are also free-play areas. The Pokemon Gym Leader Squad will be there, so be sure to drop by and give us a challenge. Check out more details on their website and Facebook page.
