Nov 5 This Reminds Me of a Puzzle
Not really, I’ve just been playing too much of a certain game lately.
I’m here to tackle your post-anniversary depression with some great news. This weekend is show 3! No, really. If you don’t believe me, look below. The bullets do not lie!
- Monday Meeting: Monday, November 5, 6PM, ML 349. Volunteers are nice. If you want to volunteer to help set up show 3, you can do so at the meeting. There might also be other stuff talked about. Maybe.
- Project Night: Wednesday, November 7, 6PM, SLC 2143. Find out what everyone is atwitter about. No, not Twitter. Atwitter. It’s a word. Look it up.
- Show 3: Friday, November 9, 4:30PM to 10PM and Saturday, November 10, 2:30PM to 9PM, AL 116. See, told you it was this weekend. Show 2 was a little hectic, but we’re returning to our standard format for shows this weekend, with Sword Art Online, Usagi Drop and Puella Magi Madoka Magica on Friday, and Yuru Yuri and Fate/Zero on Saturday. Samplers and movie undetermined at the moment, but check out the show schedule for updates later in the week. As usual, we will operate our concession stand for all your snacking and dinner needs.
That’s your week of events. Now I would like to direct your attention elsewhere for a moment. Christmas is coming, and since everyone in the club is awesome it’s hard to resist the urge to buying presents for all of your new friends. But hold on that for just a moment, and instead direct yourself to this forum thread. We are arranging a Secret Santa! Just sign up, list a few of your interests, and you’re good to go. You get one present for a random club member, you get one present from a random club member, and we all leave with our wallets happy.
In other news, WFAC. Take it away, blockquote:
Every November, the film world looks to Waterloo region as the Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema celebrates the wondrous imagery and storytelling of animation in cinema. This film festival is like no other in the world! From Japanese anime to European philosophy, from children’s tales that will have you laughing and dancing to emotional rollercoasters that will leave a tear in your eye, the Waterloo Festival has something for everyone. Cinema you can’t forget, on the silver screen where it belongs! The Festival runs November 15-18, 2012 at the Chrysalids Theatre. For tickets and more information, see www.wfac.ca.
That’s all from me. Have a great week.
