We Meet Again, EOT

End-of-term events are fast approaching, and you know what that means…the end of CTRL-A! Well, only until January. We only have a week and a bit left before events wrap up for the year, so let’s make them good ones. Let’s see…

  • Monday Meeting: Monday, November 26, 6PM, ML 349. Probably will be planning for the other events later in the week. Keep reading…
  • Project Night: Wednesday, November 28, 6PM, SLC 2143. This is the last project night for the year 2012. Don’t miss this opportunity to play games and work on projects in a fun, social setting.
  • Karaoke Night: Friday, November 30, 4:30PM to 11PM, AL 116. Our usual show room will be filled not with anime, but with folks singing their hearts out about anime. Are you an aspiring singer but only know nerdy songs? Embarrassed to sign anything Japanese in public? This is the event for you. “No judgment” is the name of the game. Just come out, sing, and have a great time. There is an organizing thread on the forum here. If you have song requests, you can post them there and the songs will be prepared for you ahead of time, to help things run smoothly.
  • Hot Pot: Saturday, December 1, Time TBD, Jess’s place. Hot pot is a wonderful thing. Good friends coming together to eat delicious boiled foods and play all sorts of fun games together. Our official Secret Santa exchange will be taking place. There will be Wii U to play. And did I mention the food? To cover the cost of food, there will be a small fee of $7, payable to Jess at your earliest convenience. This is not one to miss. If you need the address, you can email me, PM me on the forums, or PM Jess on the forums and one of us can help you out.
  • Sushi Lunch: Sunday, maybe? More details on this later in the week.

This is the way CTRL-A ends a term. We don’t just fade away; we go out with a resounding bang. If you must miss a weekend of CTRL-A, let it not be this one.
