Oct 5 Shiny New Banner, and Other News
It’s still midweek, isn’t it? I’m calling this a midweek update.
Got a bit of news to relay to you. First point is that, although it wasn’t officially announced on the front page, if you were looking forward to the Steins;Gate marathon happening soon, I’m afraid it’s been cancelled, due to a lack of source material. Sorry about that.
Secondly, and considerably more importantly, is that planning is well underway for our 20th anniversary show! From 12PM to midnight on Saturday, October 27, come to the Arts Lecture Hall for a full day of anime, gaming, and all sorts of other fun activities. It’s free and open to people of all ages. Past members, current members, or not members at all, it doesn’t matter; come celebrate 20 years of CTRL-A! All the info is available on our dedicated page here. Current members, if you want to get involved in the planning and volunteer to help run events, check out the planning forum here.
In other news, The G33K Art Show is happening again this year: November 24 and 25 at Kitchener City Hall, and they’re looking for artists to operate booths there. It’s organizer, Miroki Tong, has provided some details which I’ll post after the break below. In addition to this, she is also seeking submissions for a showcase of art featured at the Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema (WFAC). To avoid cluttering the main page, these details can be found past the break.
That’s all from me. I’ll be back in a few days with next week’s rundown.
