Jul 8  Perhaps Too Many Events

Hey everyone,

Got a plethora of awesome events for you to enjoy this week. Honestly, I dunno how we do it, but check out the extensive list below:

• Cosplay Café: Monday, July 9, 12PM to 5:30PM, SLC Multipurpose Room. That’s the large room next to the great hall. Continuing from last term’s success, several of our members will be dressing up in fun costumes and serving you delicious Japanese snacks for cheap. If you want good food and good fun for a bargain, be sure to come over. Volunteers welcome as well!
• Monday Meeting: Monday, July 9, 6:30PM, MC 4063. Right on the tail of that is our weekly meeting, so if you happen to be at the café you can just follow us there! Lots of talk of show 4 and the results of our 20th anniversary planning are sure to happen. Our members are what make the club what it is, so all are welcome to come to meetings and have their say.
• Project Night: Wednesday, July 11, 6:00PM, SLC 2143. Bring your projects to a fun and social atmosphere. ConBravo is coming up soon, so perhaps you can work on a cosplay for that. Or maybe you have something you want to put together for the 20th anniversary event? Even if it’s just homework, it’s welcome at project night.
• Show 4: Friday, July 13, 4:30PM to 10PM and Saturday, July 14, 2:30PM to 9PM, AL 116. Our final show of the term kicks off this Friday. Come watch the epic conclusions to the anime you have been enjoying throughout the term. Of course, we’ll still have samplers and our feature presentation so even if you haven’t attended previous shows you will still find much to enjoy. As usual, we will have our concession stand up and running to serve your snack, drink and cup noodle needs, and will be ordering pizza for dinner on both days. • Weiss Schwarz Tournament: Saturday, July 14, 11AM to 3PM, AL 208. That’s just upstairs from the show room! CTRL-A’s favourite anime and video game-based card game, Weiss Schwarz, hasn’t gone anywhere! Sure, interest has reduced due to many of the fans graduating at the end of last term, but where there’s a Will, there’s a way. So sign up and come play with us. The players who place in the top 3 will win Symphogear card packs!

And there’s your week. That’s right, five events, and one of them spans two days. So that’s more like six events even. Seriously.
