Jun 17 We Really Do Like It, Supposedly
Are you ready to watch some anime? No? But I had this whole thing planned. I’m gonna pretend you said yes. Well, you’re in for a treat, because this coming weekend, CTRL-A is holding an anime show! Please hold your applause for the end of the news post. Because, of course, there are other events throughout the week, such as:
- Monday Meeting: Monday, June 18, 6:30PM, MC 4060. Please note the different room this week. Well, marginally different. Planning for show 3, and such.
- Project Night: Wednesday, June 20, 6PM, SLC 2143. If you were disappointed in the lack of proper project night last week, then fear not. It’s not going anywhere, unless official UW business dictates. And it hasn’t! So join us in the SLC this Wednesday.
- Show 3: Friday, June 22, 4:30PM to 10PM, and Saturday, June 23, 2:30PM to 9PM, AL 116 both days. Need I say more? I guess I probably ought to. It’s a great opportunity to watch some anime you’d never think to watch yourself, and meet a bunch of fellow anime fans. There’ll be the usual concession stand with a dinner break and activity. Schedule is posted here. Enjoy!
In other news, you may have noticed the lack of Weiss Schwarz tournaments this term. Apologies to our current members who were fans, but a great deal of the people responsible for making those events popular graduated at the end of last term. But don’t worry, we still have something planned for show 4! It just won’t be 4/term anymore. For details and to sign up, visit the forum thread here. There’s also discussion over the prize for the winner taking place here.
Karaoke is also in the early planning stages at this time. If you want your say, you can head over to the discussion thread here.
That’s all for this week. Have a good one.
