Feb 6 Wandering All Over the Place
After a fun-filled, exhausting weekend of CTRL-A show goodness, you’re probably sick and tired of watching anime, right? No, of course you aren’t. We do actually have some anime for you to watch this week. More on that later. Here’s the events of the hour (I mean week):
- Monday Meeting: Monday, February 6, 6PM, MC 4063. Regular meeting awesomesauce. Come to discuss all the latest in club business, and feel free to hang out with folks after.
- Mini-Cosplay Panel: Wednesday, February 8, 6PM to 7PM, SLC 2132. Amy is continuing her brand new event, mini-cosplay panels, this Wednesday! During the first hour of project night, come learn from a successful cosplayer what cosplay is all about, and why you should be doing it. In fact, why aren’t you in costume now?
- Project Night: Wednesday, February 8, 6PM, SLC 2133. Of course, project night continues this week as well. After going to the aforementioned cosplay panel, this would be a great opportunity to work on a costume! You can also play games and just generally socialize with other awesome people. Come on out!
- Games Night: Friday, February 10, 4:30PM, PHY 313. If you can’t get enough of the games, games night is here to prove that “games night” isn’t just a name; it’s a night filled with games! Come play all the games!
- Wandering Son Marathon: Friday, February 10, 4:30PM, AL 113. If anime is more your speed, and we predict for many it is, on Friday we are also showing a special marathon run of Wandering Son, in conjunction with GLOW. Click either link to learn more. The marathon will show all 11 episodes of Wandering Son, with an intermission somewhere in the middle. Should be a good time, so come check it out.
Is that enough stuff for you to do this week? I think that’s enough stuff, but if you have an idea for an event you think we should be doing, then bring it up at the meeting! We’re always looking for cool people who want to volunteer to run events. You could also throw up a thread on our forum and get some feedback/suggestions. Actually, even if you don’t have an event idea, you should go post on our forum. If you miss us when we don’t have an event scheduled, you can still talk with many of us on there. Feel free to jump into a discussion or create your own!
That’s all for this week. Have a good one!
