Oct 9 Be Thankful for Show 2
NOTE: Show 2 on Friday will be starting 30 minutes later than usual, at 5pm. It is also in an unusual location, PHY 150. If you are unsure how to reach this room, contact ctrl-a@ctrl-a.org for further details.
If you’re short on things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, then you can be thankful for CTRL-A. We’re all excited to bring you the second main anime show of the term, the aptly named Show 2, this weekend. Here’s all the details for this week:
- Tuesday Meeting – Tuesday, October 11, 6:00PM, MC 4063. The usual meeting business. Planning for the upcoming show, possibly followed by an activity, and dinner. Fun times for all. Fun, mildly bureaucratic times.
- Project Night – Wednesday, October 12, 6:00PM, SLC 2109. Is Project Night different this week? Probably not. But that means it’s as fun as always, right? Come out to chat and play games with some awesome people. Maybe bring a project? Your call.
- Show 2 – Friday, October 14, 5:00PM to 10:30PM, PHY 150 and Saturday, October 15, 2:30PM to 9PM, MC 2065. Exciting, very exciting. I’m looking forward to it, and you should be too. It’s our anime show! Spanning two days, we’ll be showing a multitude of anime. As usual, in addition to watching more of our regular series, we’ll be sampling a few new ones as well, and there will be a movie event. On both days we’ll take pizza orders on the dinner break, and do some sort of activity. The detailed schedule is availableĀ in this thread. Don’t miss it!
- Weiss Schwarz Tournament – Saturday, October 15, 11AM to 3PM, MC 2035. As mentioned previously, every single one of our anime shows will be accompanied by a Weiss Schwarz tournament, and this one is no exception! If you’re interested, then head to this thread for all the details. We’re still taking registrations, so definitely sign up if you can play.
For a shortened week, it is certainly dense with a lot of fun events. No matter what your otaku tastes may be, there’s bound to be something of interest, so come on out and have a great time!
